World’s leading heavy vehicle manufactures JCB, improved their Operational Support & Maintenance (O&M), Remote Monitoring & Diagnostics by integrating a Bluetooth based remote diagnostics using AWS IoT Core. This led to lower costs, faster issue resolutions & quick solutions for their 500K JCB vehicles worldwide.
JCB’s earlier project tracking was not optimal & effective. To manually update work stats & data led to errors, delays & improper collaboration. So, they wanted a cloud-based model for real-time updates & secure data access.
JCB’s earlier dependent diagnostic did not have real-time monitoring, and it led to a slowdown in error deduction and machine health tracking. Hence, JCB wanted an advanced BLE solution for quick, easy & accurate diagnostics.
Updating the firmware data was slow, as it allowed only 10 updates per day. This process definitely lacked automation, better security & scalability. JCB looked for an encrypted FOTA solution to boost efficient & scale updates.

FOTA Updates

BLE Based Diagnostics
This Intelli Diagnostics App assists JCB to monitor vehicle condition, detect errors & ensure peak performance at all times. Using BLE, it connects with ECUs for real-time machine diagnostics & superfast issue resolutions for Bharat Stage IV, V & VI-connected vehicles.
ECU & CAN Bus Integration
Bluetooth hardware was directly installed on JCB’s ECU for smooth communication purposes between subsystems. Using a CAN Bus, the data from engines, brakes & transmission was aggregated for faster, smarter vehicle’ diagnostics & performance tracking.
